# Add a new contact to your BluBash workspace

> Learn how to manually add a contact in BluBash by filling in their name, WhatsApp number, and optional details like email, phone, and company.

BluBash lets you build your contact base manually so you can organize clients and streamline customer communication. When creating a contact you provide basic information such as name and WhatsApp number, and you can always enrich the record later with additional details.

    In the left sidebar, click **Contacts**.

  <Step title="Open the creation form">
    Click the **+** button in the upper-right corner of the screen.

  <Step title="Fill in the contact's details">
    Complete the fields in the form that appears:

    * **Name** (required): The contact's full name.
    * **Email** (optional): The contact's email address.
    * **Phone** (optional): A regular phone number.
    * **WhatsApp** (required): The WhatsApp number including the country code.

  <Step title="Save the contact">
    Click **Create contact**. BluBash saves the record and redirects you to the contact's detail page.

  **Name** and **WhatsApp** are the only required fields. All other fields are optional and can be filled in later by editing the contact.

After creating the contact you are automatically taken to their detail page, where you can add custom fields, tags, and any other information. If the WhatsApp number you entered is already registered to another contact, BluBash will display a conflict warning.
