# Search and filter your contact list

> Find contacts quickly in BluBash using real-time text search across name, email, and phone, or combine filters to narrow down your results.

BluBash provides real-time search and filtering tools so you can locate any contact in your database without scrolling through long lists. You can search by text across multiple fields at once, and combine search with filters for more precise results.

## Search by text

  <Step title="Open the Contacts section">
    In the left sidebar, click **Contacts**.

  <Step title="Type in the search field">
    In the search bar at the top of the page, type any of the following:

    * Contact name
    * Email address
    * Phone number
    * Any other related information

  <Step title="Review the results">
    Results appear automatically as you type. The search runs in real time and displays a counter showing the total number of matching contacts.

  Text search is the fastest way to find a contact. It searches across name, email, and phone simultaneously, making it easy to locate a record even if you only remember part of the information.

## Tips for searching and filtering

* The search runs in real time — there is no need to press Enter.
