The Channels page shows every channel in the workspace as cards. With a few channels, you see everything at a glance. As the workspace grows, with several WhatsApp numbers, Instagram accounts, and Webchats, the search filters the list as you type.

Search for a channel

Open Channels

In the side menu, click Channels.

Type in the search

At the top of the page, type in the Search channels… field. The list filters with every letter, with no need to press Enter. Partial terms work, and the search is not case-sensitive.

Clear the search

Delete the text in the field to see all channels again. If nothing matches, the page shows No channels found.

What the search finds

Because “inactive” contains “active”, searching for active returns both active and inactive channels. To see only inactive ones, type inactive.
Include the area or brand in channel names, such as “WhatsApp Sales” and “Instagram Downtown Store”. It makes channels easier to search and to recognize in the inbox.

Refresh the list

Click the Refresh button, next to the search, to reload the list with the latest data. It helps after finishing a connection in another tab or when someone else changed the channels.

Limitations

  • There are no separate filters by type or status. The search does that job.
  • Searching by number and display name works for WhatsApp Business API channels.
