You can delete contacts that are no longer needed in your database. This action is permanent and removes all information associated with the contact, so make sure you no longer need the record before proceeding.
Deleting a contact is permanent and cannot be undone. All data linked to the contact — including conversation history, tags, custom fields, and activity timeline — will be removed forever. Consider exporting or noting any important information before you delete.
1

Open the Contacts section

In the left sidebar, click Contacts.
2

Select the contact

Click the contact you want to delete to open their detail page.
3

Open the actions menu

Click the menu button (three dots) in the upper-right corner of the screen.
4

Choose Delete

In the menu that appears, click Delete (trash icon).
5

Confirm the deletion

A confirmation dialog will appear. Read the warning carefully, then click Confirm deletion to proceed.
6

Wait for confirmation

After you confirm, the contact is deleted and you are redirected to the contact list.

What is removed when you delete a contact?

The following data is permanently removed:
  • Basic contact data (name, email, phone, WhatsApp)
  • Profile photo
  • Custom fields
  • Linked tags
  • Conversation history
  • Activity timeline
  • All related messages
  • Metadata and additional information
A few things to keep in mind:
  • Deletion requires administrator permission or a specific permission to delete contacts.
  • The action cannot be reversed after you confirm.
  • If the contact has active conversations, those will also be affected.
  • We recommend backing up any important information before deleting.
  • If available, consider archiving the contact instead of deleting them.
